You know you live in the lucky country when our unemployment figures continue to decline, even when the world is on the verge of recession, or in fact, declared to be in recession. As the Australian Bureau of Statistics results illustrate, Australian employment is doing very well indeed. The 12-month performance to May 2010 showed a steady rise in the number of employed persons; just the way we like it (and need it).

How Old Do You Have to Be to Get a Work Permit in the US

The legal age to get a work permit in the US is between the ages of 14 to 17. If you are between the ages of 14 and 17, it is important that you get in touch with the Department of Labor and Licensing Regulation Body for your region to procure your Minor Work Permit. If you are aged 18 or more you don’t fall under the Minor Work Permit category.

This article examines the differences and comparisons between the value of extra effort between men and women in the workplace. Elements such as emotional intelligence (EI) are examined in the results of a study conducted between two groups of men and women and the value associated with their efforts in respect to employment evaluations. We see how males in displaced roles are commended for their actions while females are expected to fulfill these roles according to social norms that have resulted from a male dominated society.
